Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
CXR REPORT: A comparison is made with the previous CXR done on 03/30/2016. Minimal fibrosis/scarring is present in the right mid and upper zone. Lungs are otherwise clear. Heart is not enlarged. No active lesion is seen. I have a history if PTB in 2010. Treated for 9 months in the Phils. What does this mean?
You have a history of pulmonary TB. Your chest X – ray is showing old scar of tuberculous lesion in the form of fibrosis/scarring in right mid & upper zones of your lung. Your lung is otherwise normal with no active lesion. Your heart is also normal. You have not mentioned about your current status of your health. If you are still taking anti – TB drugs then continue it and complete the course as suggested by your doctor. If not taking any medicine then relax and be cool. Take nutritious food rich in vitamins and protein such as egg, meat, green vegetables, cheese etc. Immediately consult your doctor if you have fever, cough, blood in sputum, chest pain and night sweats. Thanks!
