My husband s Electrocardiogram came back with diagnosis: Supraventricular tachycardia Septal infarct, age undetermined Abnormal ECG When compared with ECG of 18-FEB-2014, Vent. rate has increased by 133 BPM Questionable change in QRS duration Septal infarct is now Present He was admitted to hospital last week when a routine well-exam found his heart rate was 199, it took 3 shots to get it down, was observed overnight, had 6 beats v-tach and other variations in heart rate. Was put on beta blocker and he s back on the road driving semi. Just got the ECHO results back today. Called dr s office, was told that the ECHO was normal. It sure doesn t sound normal to me....sounds very scary. I looked up Septal infarct and it sounds like it is damage to the heart. Is this nothing to worry about?
