Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does My HCG Level Indicate While Having Delay In Periods?
Yes. I am 45 years old. I went for my yearly visit and while I was there I had blood work done and they checked my cholestrol, cbc, etc...including my HCG levels. I just received a call and was told my HCG level was a 4 and I have to come back to make sure I am not pregnant. Is this a possibility of pregnancy or perimenapause since I have not had a cycle for 2 months.
A hCG level of 4 is still not sufficient enough to establish pregnancy, but then again no other factor can really cause a rise in hCG levels. Also taking into consideration the fact that you have not had a period for 2 months and your level is only 4, also kind of rules out a pregnancy. So although all the hints do rule out pregnancy, you can never really tell.
Best wishes.
