impression: Bilateral grade 1 hydronephrosis. Probably secondary to replux from moderate residual urne (30%) vs other obstructive causes. Suggest ct stonogram for better evaluation bilateral renal. cortical calcification please correlate clinically. this is the impression if may kub ultra sound please explain it for me. thankyou
1.The report suggest that the both kidneys shows dilated pelvis and calyx dilated with dilated ureter. 2.Residual urine was seen significant - which is generally seen in case of infective aetiology. 3.Associated bilateral hydro nephrosis suggests due to the retrograde ureteric reflex 4.For better delineation of findings CT KUB will be informative. 5.Cystitis can give such symptoms, a corse of antibiotic will be helpful in this case.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
Hello, Wellcome to HCM The KUB ultrasound report tells that there is bilateral Grade-I hydronephrosis i.e there is mild dilation of pelvicalyceal system of both the kidneys. This dilation of the pelvicalyceal system could be because some obstruction (like calculus) in the ureter which take urine from kidney to urinary bladder or otherwise there could be a reflux of urine from U.bladder into the ureters extending till kidneys. In your case there is evidence of residual urine of about 30 % which could be the reason for this kind of posterior retrograde reflux and this need to be evaluated. I will suggest you to meet urologist for the same.
