What Does My MRI And CT Scan Reports Indicate?

Doctor, I am Mr Pedro John petelo Brown. The question I want to ask you, why the CT scan get the picture of a turma, and the Mri scan didn t get the picture of the turma growing on my liver? That is the question I asked my family doctor, when I finished seen the special list, and he did not know the answer too. So I am still looking for an answer. Can you help me please. Hello,

Usually MRI is more sensitive at picking up problems in the soft tissues like the liver. If there was indeed a mass seen on CT which is not seen on MRI, it may be due to something called transient hepatic attenuation differentiation where there appears to be a mass on CT because of how the contrast that was injected behaves in the liver.

If the MRI showed no mass, I would say you probably do not have a mass, but I would need to see the images to be sure.
