Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My MRI Report i m 46 years old and had a l2 to s1 lumbar fusion : L1-2: Desiccated disc with a broad-based disc osteophyte complex extending out both neural foramina causing moderate central canal stenosis with significant loss of the CSF. There is mild right greater than left foraminal stenosis.
Based on the history you have shared, that due to skeletal changes in the spine and supportive structures of bones are losing shape and causing narrowing of the empty space inside where the spinal cord goes and thus due to this narrowing a compression on the spinal cord inside is being evident.
It needs urgent neurosurgeon review as cord compression is associated with many complications if it goes unchecked and surgical intervention by a spine surgeon may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
