hello doctor! I have undergone Torch Panel , igg & igm, serum (CLIA) test. My Rubella igg level is in reactive zone 191 IU/ml and ref range is My Rubella Igm level is in non reactive zone My CMV igg is in reactive zone 180 U/ml and ref range is My CMV igm is in non reactive zone 7.14 U/ml and ref range is Is it safe to plan pregnancy given these figures? please reply as soon as possible thanks!
The tests show that you have been exposed to rubella and CMV in the past, but there is no active infection now. The rubella IgG level could be due to having been vaccinated in the past. In any case, the results indicate you are immune to these 2 viruses and it is safe to plan for pregnancy. If the rubella test had been negative, they would have recommended that you get the immunization before trying to get pregnant, but since you are already immune, you are good to go! Hope this helps.
