Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have multiple cysts in both ovaries and and left ovary being very bulky , I have MISSED PERIODS for 7 consecutive months and uterus measures =60 by 45 by 27 mm and right ovary=9cc and left =12cc . 3 years back when i did usg for the same missed periods of 8 month then and report of 2013 was normal and enodemtrial was 7.8mm then and uterus measured 67.5by38.7by27.7.I have not even seen any gyno now but i personally calculated and found that uterus size has increased . Is it normal or it can be fibroids ?
This is something that needs further investigations. The increase means the uterus is being prepared for incoming periods. That's a normal happening during normal physiological process of the monthly cycle. Then, after the bleeding occurs, the uterus lining might become thinner. So, it does not necessarily mean to have fibroids. Anyway, you should check it out with your gynecologist.
All the best. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
