What Does My USG Report Suggest?

Dear doctor,

My USG report says that both my ovaries are bulky and they show multiple small follicles in the periphery. Right ovary measures 23 mm x 28 mm x 37 mm, volume is 13 cc. Left ovary measures 24 mm x29 mm x 38 mm, volume is 14 cc.

What does this mean? I am 32 years old and unmarried.

Thank you,

Hello,

The spectrum of features on your ultrasound report suggest that you have a condition known as polycystic ovarian syndrome.
This is a diagnosis that is made on imaging and clinical features.
So this report should prompt your doctor to look at your hormonal profile to establish the diagnosis.

All the best.
