What Does My Abdominal Ultrasound Scan Test Report Indicate?

An abdominal ultra sound showed I have a gall bladder that is collapsed around gall stones. I have never had any symptoms. I am 79 and in good health. What are my options? The abdominal ultra sound was done to determine the condition of my liver, which was fine. A small cyst was shown to be on one of my kidneys .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The ultra sound report says that you have gall stones in gall bladder. Although it is asymptomatic, it always carries a risk of moving out of gall bladder and blocking bile duct. This would cause complications later on. Hence, if your general condition is good, it is better to get stones removed by laproscopic surgery.
Small cycts in liver should not cause much problem. Get you Serum creatinine checked. If it is normal, then no need to bother about your kidney condition. As such, you have mentioned your liver is fine.
Wish you good health.
