Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does My Abdominopelvic Ultrasound Scan Result Indicate?
I went for abdominopelvic ultrasound and the result says there is a 5mm calculus in the left renal cortex with secondary complicating cortical cyst with diameter of about 14mm ...please does it mean and is it a serious problem I should be worried about?
thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com....
see renal stones of 5mm are not very problematic if they are in pelvis or upper ureters...but a stone in renal cortex is hard to pass to bladder on its own and you also have an associated cortical cyst of 14mm diameter... you should not be much worried by now if there are not much severe symptoms...
but it will be good for you to consult an UROLOGIST and he might give you treatment options which should mostly be surgical...
hope that was helpful.... contact me for any further queries.....
regards
