What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?

MY ast LIMIT WAS 220 AND ALT WAS 139 ON BLOOD TEST. hAS ALWAYS BEEN NORMAL BEFORE. i HAD MY GALL BLADDER REMOVED IN jAN 2012, bILE LEAKED INTO MY STOMACH FOR 2 WEEKS BEFORE A STENT WAS INSERTED. I THINK THAT MUST HAVE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT. i AM 81 YEARS OLD AND IF THERE IS A CHARGE FOR THIS JUST PLEASE DON T ANSWER. i TAKE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICINE AND XANAX FOR NERVES AND PAIN MEDICINE FOR SPINAL STENNOSIS. i DO HAVE AN APPT WITH A NEW DOCTOR IN dEC. I am Dr.Siva and I am pleased to assist you.

Your AST and ALT are quite high. Your AST is more than ALT.
The gallbladder surgery and the bile leak you had may not be the cause.
The most common cause for this kind of resulst is alcoholic hepatitis. A complete liver panel and an ultrasound scan of the abdomen would provide more clue on what is the cause for these raised liver enzymes.
