What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?

Hi, I had a blood test come back with a low GFR (48) and my creatinine was 1.7. This test was taken yesterday. Before that, I had the same test on December 3rd, which yielded different results. The December 3rd results showed my GFR at 89, and my creatinine at 1.0. Just trying to figure out what is going on, and if medication and/or hydration can influence these results. I'm 28 years old & a Caucasian male.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there,
Your test results indicate some degree of renal/kidney anomaly. This may either be due to reduced hydration leading to the kidney working extra to expel wastes or due to increased muscle damage that may be due to heavy exercising and inadequate hydration. Values this low are not a cause of undue concern but i could help you more if you tell me under what context were you asked to get this test done on december 3rd.

Hope this helps,
I would be happy to address any further queries.
