Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 43 year old female weight 129. I have MS, NMO, and RA for which I take many different meds. one of them being methotrexate. I have my ast/alt checked every 4 weeks. I had surgery 6 days before my last blood draw to place a medport. My AST and ALT came back significantly higher this month. My AST went from 16 to 70 and my ALT went from went from 10 to 87. Is this something I should worry about now or wait and see what my next labs are and could this be a result of the surgery?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if you are just worried about the test result of ALT AST then in my opinion ne need to worry about this instead it is all clinical symptoms that would be matter of concern, if you are improving clinically then this is not to worry, hope this information helps, take care.
