What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?

Hi I received a blood test with results of Alkaline Phoshatase low at 52 and my AST levels high at 76 while everything else is normal except my CBC test shows Hematocrit levels are high at 50.4 and HDL cholesterol low at 39 while everything else looks normal except my white blood cells are on the lower end of the normal ran 4.91. I exercise 4 to 5 times a week but I m very fatigued and I have been having heart palpitations. Any idea what it could be before my doctors appointment next week?

Hey, after reviewing your blood tests in my opinion you are dehydrated. You should use ample amount of water daily, upto 4 liters daily.

Low alkaline phosphatase is normal thing. There is nothing to worry about. High AST can be due to number of reasons, dehydration is one of them.

Again high hematocrit is due to dehydration only. HDL cholestrol is a bit low, but you need complete lipid profile to evaluate this reading. After seeing only HDL it is difficult to say anything.

Wbc is normal. You dont need to worry about it.

Now I would recommend you to increase water intake and repeat your labs after 2 weeks. Get Electrolytes and complete LFTs as well to look for the cause of lethargy.
