General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your Total Cholesterol level is in the normal range.Triglyceride levels are increased and need to be reduced.

Similarly, LDL cholesterol levels are also raised. Hdl cholesterol is good cholesterol.

Hdl levels of more than 60 is desirable. Less than 60 requires intervention.

All the other blood counts are normal. Kindly reduce cholesterol-containing foods in order to reduce your bad cholesterol.

Consume vegetables and fruits which are rich in antioxidants on a daily basis. Exercise is a must in order to maintain mind and body health.

These steps will increase good cholesterol in your body. Continue the same for 20 days. Repeat the lipid profile again after 20 to 30 days.

In case of a persistent increase in LDL cholesterol,cholesterol-lowering drugs such as statin should be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
