Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got my blood work results back and the the lady answering the phone(not the doctor) said everything was normal. I requested a copy of the results and I find that it states that my MCH is low(25.5), MCHC is low(31.0) and RDW is high(17.6). I am not sure if I should question the results with my doctor or the results are wrong and those are normal ranges.
I will not be able to moment your report without all the details. The hamoglobin (Hb), the value should be a part of the report. It is possible that you have microcytic anemia, which is not a major cause for alarm. But it would be impossible to comment on the same without the hb value.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
