What Does My Blood Test Result Indicate?

I had a blood test for RPR/ VDRL (syphilis) and that showed a reaction so the doctor requested a further blood test for TPHA with titer. The result was 1:80 Dilution Positive Question: what does this result mean and what treatment should I follow?

Hi i did review your concern
Positive RPR VDRL means it is suspicious for syphilis. however, it can be false positive in some patients and esp in ones with autoimmune problems or even in some healthy people. TPHA is an antigen detection test used to detect syphilis and is very specific.
If diagnosed , treatment is protected intercourse and penicillin drug under doctor guidance which is very easy to get. infection goes off very fast.

i hope this helps
wish you all the best
