Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi,my chest xray finding says,i have fibrosis in my lungs.i went to see pulmonologist and his impression is cleared from residual fibrosis standpoint.i dont understand, ive been to two different countries as an overseas filipino worker, and my medicals has no findings in my chest.not even in my family has a history of tb.maybe the medical clinic findings was wrong,i hope so...because i have dry cough that time.doctor,do you think the scar from my lungs can remove?what food must i eat?
Pulmonologist has cleared you of fibrosis, it's more reliable to be followed. As in Chest X-ray sometimes possibilities of fibrosis can be given but the exact diagnosis is made in HRCT chest in such cases.
For reassurance pulmonary function tests can be done to look for any signs of fibrotic lung disease. No diet is curative for fibrosis if any.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
