Hi & Welcome.
Incomplete data like age, gender, purpose of doing the chest s-ray??
Aorta is the biggest artery (blood vessel) carrying blood out of the heart. It goes up and then arches down. When its elasticity is less – as with age, or with
high blood pressure and so on – the arch gets a bit wider – it is called unfolding.
Cardiomegaly means an
enlarged heart.
Mild cardiomegaly means the heart shadow looks a bit larger than normal. It may be due to any heart problem – like high blood pressure,
heart attack and so on. It can also be due to severe anemia. Sometimes, it can even be an illusion, if the distance between the patient and X-ray machine is shorter....
They have no consequences by themselves.
There is no treatment is required for it, what you need is only to control your BP by taking the medications regularly, regular exercise, dietary restriction of salts, avoiding alcohol and
smoking, stress, etc.
Hope these answer your query.
A feed back is appreciated.
