What does "Vague nodular opacities in both upper lobes" mean on a chest x-ray?
My Husband is 34 and has a persistent cough and a bit of chest pain, otherwise he is healthy, working everyday etc. I'm very scared what it could mean as we have two young children.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern for your husband, actually this need to be correlate with the clinical condition but as you gave here the brief history here that does not correlate with the x-ray report given here, so this could be nonspecific finding which does not indicate any lung disease, just wait and watch is the best way, during this period if some clinical sign and symptoms develops like loss of weight and appetite, persistence low grade fever then this has to be investigated again, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
