I had a colonoscopy and my test result says moderate inflammation was found at appendiceal orifice, segmental moderate inflammation found in proximal transverse colon app. 10 cm. 4-5 cm mild inflammation found in rectum. What could be diagnosis? Please help!
Hello, There are two different kinds of inflammatory bowel disease. One is Crohn's disease and the other is Ulcerative colitis. In addition, any type of infection or immune response can cause inflammation in the bowel. Hopefully they did biopsies and the results of the biopsies could give you a more clear diagnosis. Inflammation is not specific and can result from many causes Regards
