I did fasting blood test and result is 93mg, ESR is 48mm and Triglyceride 37mg. What does it mean and what do I do next? Because I know the ESR and Triglyceride is not okay. This will be the third time, I have done the ESR test this year and it have been increasing rapidly why?
1. your fasting blood sugar is within normal range.
2. ESR is high indicating that there is some type of inflammation inside your body:
- rheumatismal (arthritis)
- kidney disease
- thyroid problems
- anemia, etc.
It is important to see the results of your:
- complete blood count
- hormonal balance
- kidney/liver funtion tests too before running into final conclusions.
3. The rapid increase in ESR is showing that you might have a chronic inflammation inside your body or you might have anemia that is not correctly treated.
As long as ESR is rapidly increasing while triglyceride is low, most probably you might have thyroid problems. A further thyroid function test is advised to determine the right cause as mentioned above.
Hope it was of help!
