i went to the hospital to do my first scan of pregnancy and the results was that, the uterus was anteverted and bulky with regular gestational sac containing two live fetuses.so in this case, what is the meaning and im i at change of giving birth to identical twins?
Hi, Your sonogram report reveals that you are pregnant with twins. The pregnancy is healthy as the gestational sac is regular and the fetuses are live. Whether the fetuses are identical or not can be known only at a later stage, as the sac grows and the tissues demarcate. The identification of a single or double yolk sac makes the distinction. Please get a follow up sonogram as advised by your consultant to know the details. Hope your query has been clarified. Wish you safe motherhood.
