1.There is a disc between the vertebral bodies which helps as a shock absorbers, at the time of weight bearing and general support. 2.In your case the disc at the level of L4-5 has slipped posteriorly and bulged out and seen inferiorly. 3.Causing pressure effect on the spinal chord by canal narrowing and articular zone where the vertebrae joins. 4.And causing pressure effect on the lateral recess at the level of L5 vertebrae. 5.In this case treatment will be initially exercise followed by physiotherapy - finally possibilities of intervention / operative procedure is there.
