Examination shows fibrotic and hazy infiltrates in both upper and left middle loves. Heart and great vessels are normal in size and configuration. Other optimally visualized chest structures are unremarkable. IMPRESSION Chronic koch s infiltrates both upper and left middle loves. Most probably active. What does it mean?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based in the chest x-ray report you have furnished, the lung is showing features of old infection of lungs along with active features of infection of tuberculosis. Hence, you need to take proper regimen anti-tubercular treatment (ATT) for it so that it would minimize the damage to the lung tissue. If not treated, it may go in for complications, which might be difficult to treat later on. Kindly consult Physician in this regard for appropriate treatment.
