What Does My Liver Function Test Report Indicate?

Hi, I did a Liver function test as part of a checkup before getting on a diet. I have no symptoms. LFT indicates Globulin level of 2.5 which is regarded Low. A/G ratio is 1.9 which is High. I am vegetarian and dont eat sea food , chicken, meat etc. Is it a big concern?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the liver function test report you have furnished, the following things can be inferred.
Globulin levels of 2.5 g/dl is on the lower limit of normal range. However, A/G ratio (Albumin to Globulin ratio) of 1.9 seems to be fine.
There is no problem with being vegetarian. All you may need is to supplement more protein in diet. This can be done through intake of pulses in your food. Drinking milk also provides good amount of protein.
You can also take protein supplements like Proteinules or Proteinx, which can be mixed with milk and consumed regularly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
