What Does My Liver Function Test Report Indicate?

Hi.

I had my LFT tests last week and when he read them out so quickly, the only one I remembered is that my ALT is 93. I now have to have a further LFT in 2 Months and Hepatitis B and C tests at the same time.
I have no jaundice but I'm still concerned about this. Would ordering the Hepatitis tests be normal with the ALT of 93?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Your liver enzyme value is raised more than two folds... Normal value is up to 42.

Hence work up done as follow....
-CBC
-USG abdomen
-hbsag and Anti hcv testing by ELISA
-Serum bilirubin

It might be possible your hbsag and hcv might negative and it can happen still ALT raised from other cause

Fatty liver or steatohepatitus might be the reason

Alcohol should be avoided if habit

Fruits eaten more

Drug history also needs to be taken

Sometime viral infections like CMV and EBV can lead raised lived enzymes temporary

Take care

Hope your concern solved

Consult physician for examination with keeping all this in mind
