Hello, My husband 65 years old. Over the weekend he noticed blood in his urine. He went to the local emergency room and had labwork completed. Some of the labs are still pending. The onsite UA showed no elevation in his WBC s. The physician started him on Cipro. The liver and kidney functions tests were negative. He is not currently experiencing pain. One provider (he went to an urgent care once and the ER twice yesterday) suggested that he might be dehydrated. Any thoughts would be helpful. Of course, the possibility of cancer has entered the conversation. I have shared with him that only further testing can confirm this. He will see his urologist tomorrow. I am an R.N. and can keep your input confidential. I want to decrease his anxiety.
