What Does My Recent Chest X-ray Test Result Indicate?
I had a chest xray because of a mild case of pneumonia. The xray showed There is mild obscuration right heart border and mild enlargement of the right hilum. This may be due to a right middle lobe pneumonia and possible reactive lymphadenopathy. Followup examination recommended. The heart size is normal. 2 weeks later I had a followup chest xray that showed Lungs are clear. There is no pneumothorax pleural effusion, or new focal consolidation. The cardiomediastinal silhouette is stable. What does this mean in reference to the first chest xray that showed the mild obscuration of the right heart border and mild enlargement of the right hilum ?
the obscuration of right heart border was due to consolidation i.e liquid being filled in that infected part of lung.near right heart border.now that its cleared up on new x ray it indicates your pneumonia is treated well.
