Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi.. I had my 20 weeks scan yesterday and the renal pelvis shows that it is 3.9mm on right side and 3.7mm on left side. The doctor informs that it is a minor problem and will check the result more accurate in the next ultrasound scan. I m worried about it.. could anyone let me know if it is anything dangerous.. and I want to know exactly what should be the exact sizes on both sides during 20 weeks.. plz help me with the info.
Based on the history you have shared, it's a trivial difference which isn't significant and you shouldn't be much worried about it. Also, follow up scans can reveal more information.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
