THEY FOUND CLUSTER 4 CYST ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER WITH CENTRAL ECHOGENIC FOCI IN THE MID TO LOWER POLE OF THE RIGTH LOBE,THR LARGEST MEASURES A CENTIMETER IN DIAMETER THE LEFT LOBE CONTAINS A COUPLE OF SMALL CYSTS ALSO WITH PUNCSTATE FOCUS OF INCREASED ECHOGENICITY THERE ARE NO SOLID APPEARING NODULES THE RIGHT LOBE MEASURES 4.5X1.5X1.5CM AND LEFT MEASURES 4X1.3X1.9CM THE SEVERAL OF THE ECHOGENIC FOCI WITHIN THE CYSTS SHOW COMET-TAIL ARTIFACT TYPICAL OF COLLOID CAN YOU EXPLAIN RESULT IN MORE DETAIN PLZ

Thanks for writing in.

I guess you have got an ultrasound scan of thyroid done recently. There are small cysts in the right lobe of thyroid as detailed. The imaging characteristics show the possibility of colloid containing cysts and is a benign condition. These are one or more overgrowths of normal thyroid tissue. These growths are not cancerous (benign), may grow large, but do not spread beyond the thyroid gland.
