General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Teratozoospermia is a condition in which the concentration of abnormal sperms are more in the semen analysis. The condition is caused by several factors such as diabetes, smoking, alcoholism, age factor, varicocele and several other factors. If the normal sperm count is less than 4%, the condition is called severe teratozoospermia.

Management options for treating teratozoospermia are artificial insemination and In-vitro fertilization. Artificial insemination is the process of in which the capacitated sperm is injected into the mother's uterus at the time of ovulation. In- vitro fertilization is the procedure in which the sperm and egg are introduced into a dish with healthy environment. ICSI- Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection is the procedure in which the selected healthy sperm is injected into the cytoplasm of the matured egg. This is the most success method with 95% fertility.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
