What Does My Semen Analysis Report Infer?

Sir, my sperm concentration is 45,percentage motility 30 (grade A-5 and grade B-25), Grade c 70. Agglutination is negative and Pus cells-3-5/hpf. Normal morphology is 40. My doctor suggested me carnitor-500 and GLA-120 for 3 months. please tell me my report is normal or any issue.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the semen analysis report you have posted, the following things can be inferred.
1. Sperm count appears to be fine.
2. Sperm motility with 30% seems to be less than normal, as ideally it is expected to be more than 50%.
3. Sperm morphology with 40% normal is also quite less, as ideally it should be more than 70%.
4. Pus cells of 3 to 5/hpf does not have much significance in indicating infection.
5. Agglutination should be normally negative and it is.
Due to above problems associated with morphology and motility, fertility index appears to be lower at this stage.
Kindly take the medications as prescribed by your doctor, as they provide appropriate nutrients for sperm production and maturation. You can check for improvement in the next analysis, to be performed after 3 months.
