What Does My Sonography Test Result Indicate?

Hello sir... I had an medical abortion of 5 weeks 3 days. The pelvic sonography says the thickened and echohenic endometrium without obvious abnormal vascularity .residual desidual lining..no focal lession is detectable.endometrium thickness is 8.1 mm..no significant fluid is seen in pouch of Douglas... Does I need the surgery for the thickening.. Plz advise

Hello,

The thickness of endometrial lining is not treated by surgery. You may need to do a d&c procedure the one you did when you had the abortion.

The material you used should be sent for biopsy in order to clear any malignancy suspects.
