There is generalised cervical disc dehydration with mild loss of disc height. There are moderately large broad disc/osteophyte bars at the levels between C4 and C7 which indents the thecal sac and which just contracts the cord at C5-6. There is generalised modest facet join degeneration. C2-3 no canal or foraminal compromise. C3-4 no canal foraminal compromise. C4-5 mild left foraminal narrowing. C5-6 mild right and moderate left foraminal narrowing due to osteophytes. C5-7 no canal or foraminal compromise. There is normal vertebral alignment. No sign change or deformities seen to indicate the site of previous vertebral fracture. Normal signal in the cervical and upper thoracic spine.
1.The report suggest there are multiple features suggest degenerative disc disease and spine findings. 2.Multiple osteophytes are signs of degenerative spine with bony out growths. 3.Disc shows loss of hydration and reduced disc heights - when disc looses its water content. 4.These findings are seen in a age related patient or a hard working weight bearing individuals. There is no canal narrowing or nerve compression which will eliminate the operative procedure. 5.Treatment in this case is exercises, rest, avoid weight bearing - if no relief physiotherapy is indicated.
