What Does My Thyroid Function Test Report Indicate?
MY ENDROCRINOLOGIST HAS LEFT THE PRACTICE . I HAVE SEEN HIM FOR OVER 30 YEARS. MY FAMILY DR DID MY YEARLY BLOOD WORK AND MY TSH WAS .01 HE SAID I MAY HAVE GRAVES DESEASE . I SAW MY OTHER DR 6 MONTHS AGO AND HAD BLOOD WORK AND NONE OF THIS WAS TALKED ABOUT. MY FAMILY DR HAS TAKEN ME OFF SYNTHROID .75 WHICH I HAVE BEEN ON FOR OVER 35 YEARS AND SAID HE WILL RETEST ME IN 3 WEEKS AND DECIDE WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. I AM WORRIED ABOUT NOT TAKING MY SYNTHROID EACH DAY I FEEL HORRIBLE AND VERY TIRED. IS IT ALRIGHT TO JUST GO OFF THIS MEDICINE AFTER ALL THESE YEARS.
Thyroid is a gland which can go from hypo to hyper phases. You are having hyperthyroidism with the medicine. It is due to the medication. Dose needs to be adjusted or stopped. But that we can say after seeing the body's function. For that we need to stop meds and test after three weeks to see thyroid status
