my PN is confusing me first she tell me i am borderline hypo then she tells me im normal.. then again today im borderline. here are my results can anyone analyze them im not really sure. i see normal and dont see why i need medication. i am struggling with my weight a bit but im managing to lose some.(i had a baby) i dont know if i shld go to a endocrinologist or take her advice and take the meds which was half a pill a day. she said i didnt HAVE to and it wasnt bad for my health if i didnt. not for another decade anyway. help me out my results were t4 free was 1.06 t3 uptake was 33.00 tsh was 1.380
hi, if i had a patient like you i would advise full thyroid profile to be repeated on empty stomach after 12 hrs of fasting along with thyroid antibodies and a thyroid scan to finally diagnose your thyroid status, if i find anything abnormal in said tests i would start with low dose of thyroxine increasing gradually to optimum level,weight is not solely dependent on thyroid status. hope i have answered your question,if any querry pl write again,thanks.
