HI My wife recently got her thyroid test results as below. Please suggest whether she need to take any medication for this. Her Age is 24 TOTAL TRIIODOTHYRONINE (T3) C.L.I.A - 118 ng/dl TOTAL THYROXINE (T4) C.L.I.A - 8.7 μg/dl THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE (TSH) C.L.I.A - 2.79 μIU/ml
hi thank you for asking your concern and welcome to HCM. above reports are completely normal and there is no need of any medication for this. i would like to tell you the normal reference range for thyroid hormones. for T3 its - 60 to 170 T4 is - 4 to 12.3 TSH - 0.5 to 5.5 it may vary with different labs but difference is very slight and doesent affect the treatment. i hope i answered your concern feel free to ask any doubt regards dr.
