Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am Sekhar aged 41. I have grown High TSh at the age of 22 .Since then I am taking Eltroxin .Varied the dose as per doctors advise. On recent test the results are as follows.T3 92.34ng/dl,T4-ug/dl and TSH-6.563 uiU/mL. I am presently taking Eltroxin 125 ,Should I change the dose. I have also HIGH BP( Taking Telma AM-80),Antidepressent - Esseta 10( Escitilopram),. I also have elevated labels of Triglyceride and LDL. Please suggest what to do.
Hi Sekhar, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Recent results of T3 with 92.34ng/dl is normal (Range: 80-180 ng/dl) and TSH with 6.563 µIU/ml is little higher (Range: 0.5 - 4.70 µIU/mL). T4 levels values have not been mentioned in your description. Hence it suggests that the dosage might be little higher with Eltroxin 125 what you are taking. You need to contact Physician and alter the dose accordingly. The other medications also needs to be taken as per the Physician's advise. About your elevated triglycerides and LDL, it would be better to control with diet and regular exercise. Hope the information provided would be useful. All the best.
