What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Hi, I am 13 week pregnant and had a ultrasound recently. It says that my placenta is 1.1 cm from OS. Do i need to go on a complete bed rest or can i go to office regularly. I have to travel at least 1 hour in the morning & evening for my office. Also, i did not have any bleeding till now. Neha

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
Thank you for contacting HCM.

It is early in your pregnancy to comment about low lying placenta as with the progression of pregnancy the placenta moves up from the internal os. If you do not have any bleeding can continue with your normal routine of life. I would strongly recommend a follow up ultrasound around 20 weeks to reassess the site of placenta.

I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns.
Wishing you good health.
