Hi. My husband recently had his KUB ultrasound results and we are yet to see his doctor on the 16th. I hope you could help explain this if its really something serious as I am 32weeks pregnant and a high risk at that and Im just too worried and very anxious cause Friday seems to be a long wait. Here s what the result says: The right kidney measures 10.12 x 4.82 x 5.06 cm while the left kidney measures 12.13 x 5.03 x 5.52 cm. Both shows normal parenchymal thickness (2.26 cm on the right and 1.86 cm on the left) and isoechoic to slightly increased echo pattern relative to liver and spleen. The right kidney shows a 2.24 x 1.86 cm cortical cyst at its upper pole. A 0.30 cm calyceal lithiasis is also noted in the area. A 0.48 cm calyceal lithiasis is likewise seen at its lower pole. The pelvocalyces and ureter are not dilated. The left kidney shows a 0.36 cm calyceal lithiasis at its upper pole. A 0.36 cm calyceal lithiasis is also noted at its lower pole. There is moderate dilatation of the pelvocalyces . The urinary bladder is well-filled (175 ml). No abnormal intraluminal echo is seen. The wall is of normal thickness with smooth mucosal outline. Post-void volume shows 18 ml of urinary residua, which is not significant. IMPRESSION: NORMAL-SIZED KIDNEYS WITH MILD DIFFUSE PARENCHYMAL CHANGES FEW TINY CALYCEAL LITHIASES, BOTH KIDNEYS MODERATE PELVOCALIECTASIA, LEFT KIDNEY. RULE OUT DISTAL URETERAL OBSTRUCTION. NORMAL URINARY BLADDER Suggest CT stonogram for further evaluation.

What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?
Hello, There is kidney stone in Left kidney Upper and lower pole. There is a block in the left ureter. Right kidney there is cyst and stone present. There may be an obstruction in urine passage to rule out. My suggestion is to go for a CT or MRI to study fully. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
