Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI I have been having spotting since my 20s I am 43 dark brown bleeding after period . Pain in my right hip and frequent uti. I have history of fibroids . Recent ultrasound shows Three fibroids one resting only uterus and endemetrialthickening. Is this cancer
Based on your description, it states that fibroid is present along with endometrial thickening. Fibroids are non-cancerous growths in the uterus. Endometrial thickening (hyperplasia) is a condition of excessive proliferation of the cells of the inner lining of the uterus (endometrium).
Endometrial hyperplasia is a non-cancerous (benign) condition. Dilatation and curettage procedure needs to be done and the cells of endometrium needs to be analysed by histopathological examination.
You have a higher risk of developing uterine cancer if you have this thickening, along with the extra lining cells are abnormal. Kindly consult Obstetrician with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
