Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 47 y/o female who is overweight.. my ultrasound reading lists the impression of thickened heterogeneons irregular endometrial stripe measuring 21 mm thickness. Dominant follicles found in bilateral ovaries. My uterus measures 12 cm by 5.8 x 8.2 cm. This test was done on day 10 of my menstrual cycle. I do have back pain with walking and sitting for a length of time, frequent urination, urge to urinate, and heavy bleeding during menses. What could this be if anything, and what would be the treatment?
Your Endometrial thickness is 21 mm which is very high and uterus also increased in size. You have to consult gynecologist for pelvic examination and per speculum examination. For such endometrial hyperplasia it is better to investigate with curettage and histopathological examination for further work up.
For that and also to stop bleeding you might be prescribed primolute N and trenexemic acid tablets daily. If HB is low then iron tablet is also prescribed. Regular gynecologist follow up is needed in your case. Consult a gynecologist for examination with keeping all this in mind.
Hope your concern is solved. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
