What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

hi

I recently had a cystscopy 6 days ago.
bladder is healthy and ultrasound of kidneys also OK.

the day after my cystscopy I started getting intermittent fevers of 39*c + . flu like symptoms.

I am now passing white/red fleshy bits in my urine and it stings a little when I pee.

could I have an infection?

regards
john

Hi & Welcome.
Based on the history given you seem to have developed urinary tract infection following cystoscopy.
Cystoscopy can introduce germs into your urinary tract, causing an infection. Most often, either the urine or the kidneys or both will become infected.

You are advised to consult your treating doctor for proper evaluation. You may need to undergo urine examination with culture and sensitivity tests.
Based on the results your doctor will prescribe a course of appropriate antibiotics to eradicate the infection.

Meanwhile you can take tablet Paracetamol three times daily and drink plenty of oral fluids to reduce the painful irritation caused by the infection.

Hope this will help.

Dear John, Hi & Welcome.

The symptoms given in your history are indicative of urinary tract infection following cystoscopy.

The diagnostic procedure of cystoscopy could have introduced germs into your urinary tract, causing an infection. It seems to be urine or the kidneys or both are infected.

Take Paracetamol tablets three times daily and drink plenty of water so as to reduce the irritation while peeing.

Consult a doctor for urine examination or its culture and sensitivity test so as to identify the offending germs. Based on the result your doctor will prescribe a course of appropriate antibiotic to eradicate the infection.

Hope the suggestion given above would be useful.
