What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

My daughters results from a recent ultrasound of pelvis state both ovaries are enlarged. Tiny follicles seen periphery. Right ovary volume 13ml, left ovary volume 11ml. Suggestive of polycystic ovaries. She is 19 and very worried. What does this mean and what is she to expect in terms of tests?

Hi, I think your daughter is having polycystic ovaries and in this , sometimes thyroid disorders are associated. So, get a thyroid profile and prolactin level done. Also do a blood sugar levels. She can be having irregular periods as ovulation doesn't happen regularly. She can take some hormonal treatment.
