What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

I have had my period for almost 5 weeks straight!!! It has been the heaviest period of my life with days at a time of severe clotting and hemoraging. I am almost 50 and I have many friends who have been or are going through menopause but NOONE has had the bleeding that I have. I have been to my general physician - they took blood work and everything looks great! I have also been to the ER and they took an ultrasound where they noticed my endometric lining looked abnormally thick. I have an appt. with my OBGYN in a week in a half for a biopsy of that wall. I am very tired and in pain and just want this to end

endometrial thickening varies with menstrual cycle. since you are experiencing heavy bleeding, biopsy is recommended to rule out any underling abnormality.
you also need to get your blood tests done for heavy bleeding since it is not normal to suffer from bleeding for 5 weeks straight.
