What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

My significant other has swollen, enlarged glands under the jaw on both sides. Does not hurt but went yo urgent care where they put him on 2 antibiotics since last Thursday. Meanwhile they had him have an ultrasound on Friday. Head doctor of urgent care called that night said on the rightside the gland was a 3.6 and the other side a 2.6 recommended to make an appointment with a nose, ear, throat specialist which he did but won t be until Oct 8th. Just want to know if there s anything to be worried about. Said he feels ok, no fever and is able to eat.

welcome to hcm ..swollen lymph nodes under jaw on both sides must be ascessed by ENT surgeon as you were advised
such a person needs to be put on antibiotics which was rightly done
but as the patient is not having fever cold and is able to eat i donot think there is any major ENT problem but as a precaution you should meet ent surgeon
besides i would recommend lab tests as TLC DLC ESR and blood sugar level
continue antibiotics for a period of 10 days
with regards dr varinder joshi
