HI,,YESTERDAY I HAVE GONE THREW A ULTRASOUND...ND MY DOCTOR IS CONFUSED ABOUT MY REPORTS MY REPORT IS...... A DOMINANT FOLLICLE 19mm IN SIZE IS SEEN IN LEFT OVARY.NO FREE FLUID IS SEEN INTHE ABDOMEN. IS THAT MEAN I MIGHT BE PREGNENT OR OR AN FERTILIZED EGG... OR SOMETHING ELSE...PLS CLEAR IT..ACCTUALY I M TRYING FOR CONCIVING

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of pelvic ultrasound is as follows:
There is presence of dominant ovarian follicle in left ovary.
A dominant follicle is formed in either of the ovaries at the time of ovulation.
The mature egg or ovum is released from the follicle during ovulation.
Once the ovulation occurs or the dominant follicle releases mature ovum, free fluid accumulates in the pouch of Douglas.
Thus, the ultrasound shows that the follicle has matured and about to release mature ovum.
This time is appropriate for conception.
