What Does My Ultrasound Scan Test Report Indicate?
Hello, my name is Carla. I have recently had a cbc done and an abdominal ultrasound done because of upper rt abdominal pain and pain in my right shoulder blade area. The results of the blood test were good and the ultrasound show nothing abnormal in my gallbladder and upper rt area. Since then(Saturday) I have continued with the symptoms along with my kidney area aching..After I eat I have lot of painful gas as well. I have had this issue many times over the last few years and continue to have no definitive answers to what the issue is. what are your thought?
There are multiple causes of upper abdominal pain, few of which like gallstones or kidney stones can be picked on abdominal ultrasound. As your ultrasound report is normal there is no need of concern for these two diseases, however, as you are still having pain along with other symptoms I would suggest you consult your local physician for detailed medical history, clinical evaluation, other diagnostic investigations and further treatment accordingly.
In some cases GERD( Gastro oesophageal reflux disease ) can present this way. Also get a urine complete exam to rule out UTI.
I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
